Arthritis Patients Prone to Suffer from a Higher Risk of Heart Attack

KOLKATA, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com) — A new research has highlighted the fact that patients diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis have 60% higher chance of heart attack only after one year of diagnosis.

The chance of a heart attack becomes severe within a few months to one year after the patient is diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. The risk starts from one year and can prolong upto 12 years atleast.

The main aim of carrying out this study is to let people suffering from rheumatoid arthritis the risk of heart attack associated with this disease. Not only heart attack, other problems linked to heart disease may also arise that is a matter of clinical concern.
