The researchers plan to reintroduce the dendritic cells and think that by doing so the immune system becomes able to resist the cancerous cells from spreading. It is a part of immunotherapy and has fewer side effects according to the researchers.

Mesothelioma can affect people who are exposed to asbestos and it can attack even decades after the victims are exposed to the material. The new therapy can yield positive results but it will take some more time before the researchers can come out with the medicine.
