Former US president Clinton hospitalised

WASHINGTON - Former US president Bill Clinton has been hospitalised in New York, US television network ABC News reported Thursday.

ABC and broadcaster CNN reported that Clinton was suffering chest pains, but there were no further details.

Clinton underwent quadruple bypass surgery in September 2004. He has remained a prominent public figure, most recently serving as the UN’ special envoy for Haiti following last month’s devastating earthquake.
