Salmonella Threatens Consumption of Eggs and Pickles

WASHINGTON (GaeaTimes.com) — US Government declared a Salmonella outbreak from eggs sold at a firm named Wright County Egg in Galt, lowa. The egg producer firm has been asked to recall more than 200 million chicken eggs contaminated with Salmonella bacteria.
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reported that the Salmonella related infection has been found since late June. The investigation sparkened up when Salmonella infection hiked to four times its usual rate. Sources also stated that hundreds of people in California, Colorado and Minnesota have fallen sick over the last few months.
Not only eggs are found infected, pickles are also found to carry this harmful pathogen. Cook County Department of Health announced today that an outbreak of Salmonella is investigated from pickles sold from Assi Supermarket in Niles. The contamination was confirmed when pickles and eggs were sent to Illinois Department of Public Health laboratory for testing.
Consumers are asked to return the eggs and refrain from eating eggs and pickles. Salmonella causes infection, which can be life-threatening. Some facts about Salmonella are as follows:
