WASHINGTON (GaeaTimes.com) — United States is facing a massive Salmonella outbreak in 2010. The recalled list of eggs reached to over 380 million. The Wright County Egg is reported to carry these contaminated eggs.

The outbreak received a national coverage when Salmonella infection caused over 35 people hospitalized. The Wright County firm sells eggs to different brands across many states in US namely Lucerne, Albertsons, Mountain Dairy, Ralph’s, Boomsma, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms, Kemps, James Farms, Glenview and Pacific Coast.

The company has stated that the people should ensure not to eat the eggs belonging to the above mentioned brands. They have stopped selling the recalled eggs and the people are asked to return the eggs. The eggs should be disposed off in a proper way.

FDA has reported that the Wright County firm is fully cooperating with them in the investigation. The existing shell inventory will undergo pasteurization to kill the dreaded Salmonella bacteria in the eggs.
