14 swine flu cases in West Bengal

KOLKATA - The confirmed cases of swine flu in West Bengal have risen to 14, a health official said Saturday

“We are monitoring the situation daily,” said Asit Biswas, nodal officer for swine flu.

On Friday evening, Arunima Chakraborty, the assistant superintendent of Beliaghata Infectious Diseases hospital, was admitted after she tested positive for the disease.

In 2009, 135 people were affected with swine flu in the state. All of them recovered and there were no fatalities.
