THIRUVANANTHAPURAM - Eleven cases of swine flu were reported in Kerala Friday, taking the total infections from the virus in the state to 611.

Amar S. Fettle, state nodal officer of HINI, told IANS: “As of today, 56 people are quarantined at various places in the state. Even though Tamiflu tablets are allowed to be distributed through medical shops, so far none have lifted the medicine stocks. The state government is supplying it free for the affected,” said Fettle.

He said the best advice to people is to take care of some major points. “People should ensure that if they are not well, please don’t report for work or send children to school. Absolute rest, taking lots of fluids and good food will make the disease disappear in a few days time,” said Fettle.
