NEW YORK - French first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has been honoured for her humanitarian efforts in fight against AIDS.

The 41-year-old beauty was felicitated for her work for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria at a Midtown bash on Monday.

Jordan’s Queen Rania and Carla’s husband, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, were also present at the occasion, reports the New York Post.

The party was hosted by Peter Chernin and Tom Freston along with his wife and best-selling author Kathy Freston, who’s also an avid animal advocate like Carla.
