LONDON - A hospital ward manager, who had three-in-a-bed romp with two patients, has been banned from working as a nurse.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council on Thursday struck Jayne Reed off the nursing register, reports the Sun.

Striking Reed off the medical register, panel chairman Catherine Duthie said her misdeeds were ‘unworthy of a registered nurse’.

“The only person who gained gratification from the inappropriate relationship was the registrant,” she said.

Reed, a former psychiatric nurse and ward manager at Newtown Hospital in Worcester, called herself ‘mummy bear’, the 46-year-old male patient ‘daddy bear’ and the 18-year-old girl ‘baby bear’ after climbing under the covers with the pair.

Married Reed also performed a sex act on the man, referred to as Patient A, at his home, prompting him to make a statement to police.

The former mortician later told police the episode was ‘very disturbing and that the only pleasure was Jayne’s’, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) panel heard.

The 18-year-old girl said she has ‘lost all trust in the NHS’ following the three-in-a-bed incident.

Reed was found guilty of a string of charges in her absence at the central London hearing. (ANI)
