Family truck stolen while in city for son’s chemo
SEATTLE — A Montana family in Seattle for their child’s chemotherapy treatments says their truck was stolen outside the Ronald McDonald House where they have been staying temporarily.
Karen and Jeremy Hartles of Kalispell, Mont., returned to the house in north Seattle Tuesday to find the truck gone.
Their 3-year-old John is undergoing another round of chemotherapy Friday.
John’s mother says he has stage 4 neuroblastoma, a cancer that strikes young children. She tells KING-TV that doctors at Seattle Children’s Hospital give him a 50 to 70 percent chance of surviving.
She says her son’s health is the most important thing now but having the family truck back would help.
