Two more swine flu deaths in Delhi, toll 33

NEW DELHI - Two people died of swine flu in Delhi Saturday, an official said. The deaths take the toll in the capital to 33 this year.
“One was a Delhi resident and was admitted in Apollo hospital while the other one was from Uttar Pradesh and admitted in Safdarjung hospital,” Debashish Bhattacharya, nodal officer for swine flu, told IANS.
Of the fatalities, 20 were from Delhi and 13 from outside the city, Bhattacharya added.
As many as 46 more cases of swine flu were also reported, taking the total number of patients infected by Influenza A (H1N1) virus this year to 1,133, he said.
The common symptoms of swine flu are cold, cough, fever, sore throat and headache.
The health ministry has proposed to the states and union territories to make the vaccination mandatory, if required.
