STORY REMOVED: VA–Salmonella Outbreak-Peanuts
LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Associated Press has withdrawn its story about U.S. District Judge Norman Moon’s ruling Wednesday approving a $12 million settlement against Peanut Corp. of America. The judge’s ruling only approved a recommendation to reject a claim filed by Kenneth Hinton. Moon has yet to decide whether to approve a recommendation to settle with other plaintiffs who were sickened or killed in last year’s salmonella outbreak tied to a Virginia-based peanut processor.
