NEW DELHI - Delhi reported 67 new cases of dengue Saturday, which has now taken the figure of total cases to 741, an official said Saturday.

“No deaths have been reported, and the figure of deaths by dengue remains at two,” Municipal Corporation of Delhi’s (MCD) chief medical officer N.K. Yadav told IANS.

As the Commonwealth Games approach, the threat of dengue will intensify, especially with huge chunks of debris lying around the construction venues. The Commonwealth Games Organising Committe has said that monitoring of dengue status will be done on a daily basis and that fogging will be intensified.
