NEW DELHI - The national capital reported 65 new cases of dengue, taking the total number of people infected by the mosquito-borne disease to 674 so far, an official said Friday.
“No deaths were reported in the capital today,” N.K. Yadav, chief medical officer of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), told IANS.
The total number of confirmed deaths due to dengue in the capital has now reached two. Three deaths due to suspected dengue have also been reported in the capital.
With the numbers rising every day, a worried Commonwealth Games organising committee declared Thursday that monitoring of the dengue status would be done on a daily basis and fogging would be intensified at Games venues.
