Truffle can be found in numerous of varieties. These include the popular ones like, White truffle, Black truffle, Chinese truffle, Summer truffle and there are some less famed ones Scorzone truffle, Oregon truffle etc.

Truffles are a member of the tuber family of mushrooms with an earthy flavor that is reminiscent of a cross between garlic and mushrooms. They grow underground among the roots of various trees, including hazelnut, chestnut, pine, willow, elm and oak trees. Truffles are grown primarily in the wild mainly in France, Croatia, Italy, Oregon and Washington. Growing truffles is one job. The logic that supports its high price is the difficulty in growing them. Adventurous people are trying their hands on growing truffle back at home to make some money out of it.
