AIDS group wants rule requiring condoms in porn
LOS ANGELES — An AIDS advocacy group is calling on California regulators to require the use of condoms in porn films.
AIDS Healthcare Foundation spokeswoman Lori Yeghiayan (yeg-ee-AH-yan) says regulations to prevent the spread of bloodborne diseases in hospitals should extend to adult film sets. The current regulations aren’t clear enough.
The group plans to ask the California Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board to make its rules specific to pornography during their meeting on Friday.
Cal/OSHA did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
