Brit nurse’s ‘three-in-a-bed’ cuddle with patients

LONDON - A hospital ward manager in the UK climbed into bed with two patients for a ‘three-in-a-bed’ cuddle, a hearing was told.
Jayne Reed, a married psychiatric nurse at Hospital in Worcestershire, also performed a sex act on one of them on a different occasion, reports the Telegraph.
Reed called herself ‘mummy bear’, a 46-year-old man ‘daddy bear’ and an 18-year-old woman ‘baby bear’, it was claimed.
Reed, 47, also allegedly performed a sex act on the male patient during a visit to his home.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council heard managers at Newtown Hospital investigated after rumours spread in September 2008 that Reed had performed the sex act on the patient.
But she was allowed to return to work in early October after they concluded she had been the victim of ‘Chinese whispers’, said manager Derek Hammond.
The investigation was re-opened a fortnight later after both the patients wrote letters of complaint to the trust.
This time Reed, who had worked at the hospital since 2005, was formally suspended and she resigned three months later, in January 2009.
The panel heard that Reed’s marriage had collapsed over the summer of 2008.
Both ‘inappropriate’ patient relationships are alleged to have occurred in May and June that year.
It is also claimed Reed kissed the woman, sent her ‘inappropriate’ text messages and took her to the cinema.
The hearing is still continuing. (ANI)
