WELLINGTON - A new Kiwi study has shown that kids using non-fluoridated water have a higher rate of tooth decay than children relying on fluoridated supplies.

Dr Robin Whyman and two other dental experts from Hutt Valley District Health Board and Capital and Coast District Health Board analysed dental records of about 3000 children aged 2-12 on the Kapiti Coast.

They found that tooth decay is higher in non-fluoridated Paekakariki than in fluoridated Raumati, Paraparaumu and Waikanae, reports Stuff.co.nz.

According to the analysis, obtained during 2009, the severity of decay was 32 per cent higher in Paekakariki children than in those from the other towns.

The study also found there were 13.3 per cent fewer children decay-free in Paekakariki compared with the other towns. (ANI)

RE: Bad Breath, I tried a few things but didn’t really get anywhere. A friend told me to get advice from Oraltech Labs as it worked for him. Interestingly Oraltech Labs specializes in bad breath but considers Bad Breath, Halitosis, Post Nasal Drip, Dry Mouth, GERD and heartburn as a single health issue and have you treat all of them in your own home by yourself. It mentioned most people who complain of one problem actually had most or all of the other problems but didn’t know it. So it gets you to attend to all of them as missing one usually results in the return of the other. Anyway I’ve been following there advice for about 2 months now I feel much better even sleep better, so I think people suffering from any of the 5 problems to consider giving Oraltech Labs a go. I now know I had most of the problems it focuses on and each problem was helping the other problem. I’ve found brushing flossing and scraping your tongue after each meal and before bed works well but if you still have bad breath after that try OralTech Labs as they specialise in chronic bad breath.
