LONDON - Former US Republican Vice-Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin has revealed that she was so shocked to discover that her son Trig had Down’s syndrome during pregnancy that she kept the news from her husband Todd for three weeks.
In her first appearance on the ‘Oprah Winfrey Show’, Palin, 45, who gave birth to Trig last year, spoke about her pregnancy fear.
“He [Todd] had probably a better reaction than I did. I was much more frightened, wondering why did this happen? Why God? And Todd said, ‘Why not? Why not us?’” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.
The “hockey mom”, who has just released her autobiography ‘Going Rogue’, also talked of her daughter Bristol’s pregnancy last year, saying she found it harder than she let on.
“I didn’t want that message getting out there that we were giddy happy to become grandparents,” she told Oprah. (ANI)
