Some of the top products from animal health businesses Merial and Intervet/Schering-Plough, which are being combined under a deal announced by Merck & Co. and France’s Sanofi-Aventis SA:

Merial:

Frontline, kills ticks and fleas on dogs and cats

Heartgard, prevents heartworm in dogs and cats

Ivomec, kills parasites in hogs and cattle

Eprinex, kills internal and external parasites in cattle

Intervet/Schering-Plough:

Panacur, deworming medicine for dogs

Nuflor, injectable antibiotic for bovine respiratory disease

Cobactan, injectable antibiotic for horse blood and respiratory infections

Circumvent PCV, vaccine against a common pig virus, porcine circovirus
