RAJKOT - Thousands of students took to streets and launched an awareness campaign on swine flu here on Friday.
Holding placards and banners depicting the causes and prevention of Swine Flu, students from various colleges and departments of the Saurashtra University informed locals about the dangers of spreading swine flu in the city and surrounding areas.
The faculty members also joined the campaign.
Students said that they want to create awareness regarding this deadly virus as the cases are increasing in Gujarat.
“We want that the swine flu should go away from our city Rajkot so that we can have a healthy life,” noted Sonara Poonam, a student.
“Incidents of swine flu are increasing in Gujarat specially in Rajkot. Swine flu, is being spread by H1N1 virus…a number of people are dying…to protect people from this, we have launched this campaign today to spread awareness among people so that they protect themselves from the swine flu,” said Surbhi Limbasiya, another student.
Swine Flu has claimed more than 40 lives in Rajkot only. More than 120 deaths were reported from all across Gujarat.
More than 800 persons have succumbed to this deadly virus in India and around 24,500 people have tested positive for the H1N1 virus, which was first detected in Hyderabad in May.
Maharashtra and Karnataka were the worst affected states of the country. At least 249 people have died in Maharashtra while the virus has claimed 128 lives in Karnataka.
New Delhi is worst affected in terms of number of infected people, where 8,751 people have tested positive for H1N1. (ANI)

Know before you vaccinate. A German doctor has warned about the use of cancer cells from animals in the swine flu vaccine. Many versions of the swine flu vaccine contain thymerasol which is an especially toxic form of mercury. High levels of mercury have been linked to autism. A recent study conducted by a hospital in Rochester New York supposedly proved that mercury containing vaccines are safe for infants. The proof was that blood mercury levels returned to normal within 24 hours after being vaccinated. Ignored was the fact that mercury crosses the blood brain barier. Therefore, the study was useless in proving what they set out to prove in the first place. The European versions of the swine flu vaccine also contain Squalene which has been linked to a variety of neurological ailments and autoimmune disorders. While Squalene is safe to eat it is not safe to inject. Injecting it causes your immune system to think that the Squalene found throughout your body is a foreign substance–thus potentially generating an autoimmune disorder. Swine flu vaccines also contain formaldehyde, aluminum, and a variety of other toxic ingredients. Why have health officials thus far refused to address any of these questions surrounding the safety of the swine flu vaccine? And why are such dangerous ingredients being put into the swine flu vaccine in the first place? Why is the symbol for Novartis, the Swiss manufacturer of the swine flu vaccine, the eternal flame of the illuminati? Several news articles have been published exposing Novartis as a tool for the secretive society the Club of Rome. This society states in their own documents that a drastic reduction of the world’s population is one of the goals of their organization. Is it any wonder then that these ingredients are being used in the vaccines? The age-old philosophy is returning, but it has been present for quite some time in medicine. |
