‘Big Brother 9′ winner released to drug treatment
BOSTON — The winner of the CBS reality show “Big Brother 9,” who’s accused of attempting to sell drugs, has been released for inpatient substance abuse treatment after posting bail.
Adam Jasinski (jah-ZIN’-skee) has pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempting to sell 2,000 pills of oxycodone, the main active ingredient in OxyContin and other painkillers.
The Delray Beach, Fla., resident allegedly told a federal agent he’d been selling thousands of pills monthly in Florida, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
The U.S. Attorney’s office said Thursday that Jasinki’s parents have agreed to be responsible for him as he receives the treatment as a condition of his release.
A call to his attorney Thursday was not immediately returned.
