Drugs worth millions seized in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA - Special Branch and Anti-Narcotics Cell Police personnel in Ludhiana seized drugs worth 12.5 million and arrested a person, suspected of drug smuggling.

The arrested has been identified as Sandeep Kumar.

Police recovered 200 grams of cocaine worth rupees 10 million and 100 grams of smack worth rupees 2.5 million.

R K Jalhotra, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana said: “A person has been arrested with 100 grams of smack and 200 grams of cocaine. These drugs packed in small wrappers were hidden in soles of ladies sandals.”

“He used to send these drugs to foreign countries such as Africa and England through courier. In the past, he was arrested by the Narcotics Department and had been charged in a case,” Jalhotra added. (ANI)
