Opry backdrop to become pink Oct. 2
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville is joining the fight against breast cancer by “going pink” during two performances Oct. 2.
Opry star Carrie Underwood will flip a switch, turning the Opry’s signature red barn backdrop pink in support of the groups Women Rock for the Cure and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
The shows will also include performances by Underwood, Terri Clark and others.
The live country music show has been presented regularly since 1925.
