NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com) — A new study has revealed that bone marrow stromal stem cells may be effective in recovering heart stroke. The experiment was carried out at the Farber Institute for Neurosciences and the Department of Neuroscience at Thomas Jefferson University.
According to the research it was found that systematic administration of bone marrow stem cells (MSC) administered to laboratory rats one day after their simulated strokes found significant recovery of motor behaviour on the first day.
Though there has been no details how stem cell sis working to recover heart stroke but researchers concluded that stem cells can modify the cellular and molecular landscape of the brain and blood, limiting damage and protecting the stroke-injured brain.
