NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com) — A recent study by the U.S scientists has revealed the fact that a protein that turns healthy prostate cells into cancerous cells is discovered. This latest discovery may prove very useful in treatment of prostate cancer that has potential to claim the lives of as many as 35,000 men in U.S.

The protein, Bmi-1 is fuels the growth of tumors and their rapid multiplication in the prostate cells. The scientists have confirmed that blocking this protein could result in slow growth of tumors.
