BHOPAL - Medical representatives of drug manufacturing firms in Madhya Pradesh have criticised Health Minister Anoop Mishra for banning their entry into hospitals.

Mishra recently ordered the medical representatives to keep away from hospitals during the day. He also advised doctors to prescribe medicines available in hospitals and asked patients to get drugs from the hospitals.

The vice president of the Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh medical and representatives’ union, Shailendra Sharma, called the ban on their entry as unfair.

“We have been visiting doctors after OPD (Out Patient Department) hours and following the rules and regulations. But the ban is not justified,” he said.
