KUALA LUMPUR - Several schoolgirls in Malaysia are reportedly so addicted to drugs that they have sex with the pushers for a free supply.

A sizeable number of secondary school students, aged between 13 and 17, are said to be very familiar with both plantbased drugs such as cannabis, and synthetic drugs such as Eramin-5.

They say that the drugs help them relax, and recover from the stress of examinations.

Pupils from several schools in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Negri Sembilan admit to having done drugs.

The traffickers recruit students who cannot afford to buy the drugs as pushers, who can get drugs for free if they hit the “sales target”.

According to reports, the girls can get the drugs free by having sex with pushers.

They also get discounts, but the boys have to pay the full price.

Kang Chez Chiang, City Narcotics Department chief Assistant Commissioner, said that some of the arrested pushers were selling drugs to students.

“Certain pushers are using students to sell drugs. Some students get RM10 and think they are doing their friends a favour,” New Strait Times Online quoted Kang Chez Chiang as saying.

Many of the drug pushers are students at institutions of higher learning, and have just started working.

Selangor Narcotics Department chief Assistant Commissioner Nordin Kadir revealed that 541 youngsters, aged between 14 and 18, were arrested in the first six months of the year for drug offences.

“Many students take drugs because of peer pressure. They want to fit in. There are also those who take drugs because they come from broken families,” Nordin said.

It is not just urban students who do drugs, for imaginative students in rural areas and small towns also make do with controlled medication like Dormicum, codeine or Nospan. (ANI)
