NEW DELHI - Having too much sugar in your blood can injure many parts of the body, including your heart, kidneys-even your eyes.

WASHINGTON - A new study has revealed that injecting steroids into the eye can significantly reduce progression of diabetic retinopathy, a complication of diabetes that can cause vision loss and blindness.

WASHINGTON - An antioxidant plant extract from the bark of the French maritime pine tree can treat diabetic retinopathy in the early stages, says a new study.

WASHINGTON - Scientists from The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma City, have identified a molecular pathway that appears to play a vital role in diabetes associated blindness.
