KOLKATA, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com) — A recent study suggested that reduction in salt intake by diabetic patients can considerably prevent them from major health threats such as stroke, heart attack and diabetic kidney disease.

An experiment was conducted on 254 diabetic patients and their diet were restricted to large reduction in their daily salt intake. After one week it was found that the blood pressure of the patients were considerably reduced.

One of the main reason of high blood pressure is intake of high salt and diabetic patients can suffer from serious health problems due to high blood pressure.
